Since I couldn't read blogs or browse pinterest I had plenty of time to bake. For the July cookies I chose to bake hazelnut cookies.
They are extremely easy to make, which is always a plus for me, and I baked these three days in a row by popular demand!
If you like to try, here's the recipe:
For app. 35 cookies
1 vanilla pod
100 g sugar
200 g butter (room temperature)
250 g flour
½ teaspoon cinnamon
Hazelnuts (one for each cookie)
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon Water
Part the vanilla pod and remove the seeds. Mix seeds with sugar, butter, flour, and cinnamon in a mixer. Form the dough into small balls, put them on a baking pan with baking paper and give them a gentle push with your thumb.
Heat the honey, water, and hazelnuts in a pot for a few minutes. Place one hazelnut on each cookie. Bake for 15-18 minutes at 185 degrees C.
